A Zebra Case Study
Bradford Airport Logistics, based in Houston with operations across the U.S., Europe and beyond, operates centralized receiving and distribution centers for airport consumables and runs its Airport Material Intelligence System (AMIS). As the company expanded to more airports it faced slow, error-prone manual data entry, unreliable handhelds with poor Wi‑Fi and durability, and needed a rugged device that could integrate with AMIS, capture signatures and photos, and handle large data sets in harsh airport environments.
Bradford chose the Zebra TC70 Rugged Touch Computer with Zebra support, integrating it into AMIS and rolling devices out quickly at sites including Cleveland and London Heathrow. The TC70 eliminated manual entry, sped scanning (40 boxes in 2–3 minutes vs. 10), captured electronic signatures and proof-of-delivery, saved about four hours per day per team, increased deliveries and productivity, and enabled Bradford to expand services and improve visibility across the delivery lifecycle.
