Dominium, a major affordable‑housing developer managing 25,000 units and targeting 40,000 by 2025, faced slow, error‑prone paper-based work‑order management and apartment inspections that hampered field staff productivity and resident service as the company scaled. To support aggressive growth and improve resident satisfaction, Dominium needed to automate workflows, speed response times, and capture reliable performance data.
Working with Emkat, Dominium deployed Zebra TC55 mobile computers (with SOTI MDM, Yardi maintenance/inspection apps, WebEx and other tools) to replace paper processes with a real‑time mobile platform. The rollout cut administrative work‑order time in half (generating about $525,000 annually), reduced work‑order processing from 810 to 210 seconds and inspections from 1,560 to 210 seconds per unit, slashed response times and provided actionable data to measure and improve staff performance.
