Bidfood, a leading UK food wholesaler, faced significant inefficiencies in its warehouse operations due to a reliance on outdated, paper-based systems. Zebra implemented a tailored solution for Bidfood featuring a suite of mobile and wearable devices, including the MC9300 mobile computer and WT6400 wearable terminal, alongside bespoke software systems. This technology enabled real-time stock management and automated picking, which increased nightly item processing capacity from 400,000 to 600,000, drastically reduced errors, and eliminated the need for five million sheets of paper each year, resulting in major cost savings and improved sustainability.
