Case Study: Orica achieves real-time inventory visibility and improved traceability with Zebra

A Zebra Case Study

Preview of the Orica Case Study

Australian Explosives Manufacturer Deploys Intrinsically Safe Zebra Touch Computers for Improved Traceability and Inventory at its Production Sites Worldwide

Orica, a global Australian explosives and mining services manufacturer, needed to roll out a best-in-class track & trace and inventory management solution as part of its cloud-based SAP implementation. Although Orica built an in-house Track & Trace app, the company required robust, high-performance hardware with intrinsically safe certification to operate in explosive production environments.

BARTEC and Zebra delivered a turnkey solution: Zebra TC75Xex‑NI intrinsically safe touch computers were preconfigured with Orica’s Track & Trace modules using Zebra StageNow and managed remotely with SOTI MobiControl. More than 450 devices have been deployed worldwide, fully integrated with SAP, giving Orica real-time, accurate inventory visibility, improved traceability across the supply chain, enhanced worker safety, and centralized managed support for repairs and updates.
