Alyeska Resort achieves 100% guest satisfaction with Zebra T5 Wi-Fi over VDSL2 System

Alyeska Resort, Alaska’s largest ski area located in Girdwood, faced widespread guest complaints about poor in-room and throughout-property Wi‑Fi as guests brought multiple devices and the legacy wired system generated frequent support calls and consumed staff time. The hotel needed a reliable, scalable wireless solution that wouldn’t require costly rewiring but would deliver consistent high-speed connectivity everywhere from guestrooms to outbuildings.

Alyeska deployed Zebra’s T5 Wi‑Fi over VDSL2 system with TW‑511/TW‑510 wall-plate access points and AP‑7161 outdoor units, leveraging existing telephone wiring for fast, low-impact installation and using outdoor APs for point-to-point links to remote buildings. The result was seamless wall-to-wall coverage, 100% guest satisfaction with Wi‑Fi, dramatic reductions in network management and support time, and increased staff productivity.
