The customer, Capcon, an interactive technology conference, faced the challenge of commissioning two multidisciplinary artists for a conference installation within a very tight one-month timeframe. To source and manage talent efficiently, they used the submission management platform from the vendor, Zealous.
Zealous provided a streamlined solution that automated key administrative tasks like email notifications for judges and applicants. This efficiency allowed the Capcon team to focus on marketing and the judging process itself, which was further aided by Zealous promoting the opportunity to its creative network. The project was a success, with the platform processing approximately 100 submissions and enabling the remote selection of two artists to receive the £10,000 commission during COVID restrictions.
