PATH And ZayZoon Are Making a Difference In The Lives Of Californians

PATH, a California nonprofit dedicated to ending homelessness, was facing increased overtime and stress among staff as they ramped up life‑saving services during the COVID-19 crisis. To help employees manage financial uncertainty and maintain stability between paychecks, PATH partnered with ZayZoon and adopted its Financial Wellness offering, including the Wages On-Demand earned wage access product.

ZayZoon delivered on-demand pay plus financial courses, tools and free coaching from Certified Personal Finance Counsellors, with no impact to PATH’s payroll processes. Within 45 days 10% of PATH’s workforce had adopted the service (over 50 staff used it in the first months), employees use it about twice per month on average, and more than $10,000 in payouts have been provided free — measurably improving staff financial flexibility and stability.
