Fonn Construction, a Norwegian company providing project management software for the construction industry, faced a challenge during its international expansion. To comply with institutional investment requirements, they needed to build an in-house technical team while safeguarding knowledge. They partnered with the vendor Zaven to navigate the complexities of establishing a new foreign subsidiary.

Zaven implemented a solution by transferring key personnel to spearhead a new Polish unit and introducing a hybrid outsourcing model to integrate the new in-house team with their existing engineers. They managed the establishment of a subsidiary, including all operational and HR logistics, and provided technical leadership through a 'CTO as a Service' model. The outcome was that Fonn began operating its own local unit in Poland with operational and technical leadership still provided by Zaven.
