Chemist + Druggist (C+D), a UK pharmacist publication and events brand, needed a way to protect sponsorship revenue during COVID-19 while also creating better networking opportunities and easier access to revalidation and learning resources for pharmacists. With its flagship in-person awards at risk, C+D looked for a platform that could support a virtual event format and help unify its jobs, courses, news, and community content.

Using Zapnito, C+D launched an online community in just five weeks, adding virtual events, sponsored content, jobs, and training into one branded hub with SSO and other integrated features. The result was strong commercial performance: the virtual C+D Awards retained 95% of the expected audience and 65% of sponsor revenue, while the community generated over £45k in revenue in its first year plus an additional £15k through the Jobs platform.
