Case Study: Springer Nature strengthens research communities and boosts engagement with Zapnito

A Zapnito Case Study

Preview of the Springer Nature Case Study

How Springer Nature used online communities to drive journal engagement and increase author satisfaction and loyalty

Springer Nature, a global academic publisher, needed a better way to engage researchers, strengthen journal relationships, and create new ways for communities to connect around its content. To do this, the company used Zapnito’s community platform to build focused online spaces for authors, editors, contributors, and sponsored thought leadership audiences.

With Zapnito, Springer Nature launched scientific research communities, private editorial board communities, Behind the Paper, and community collections to drive engagement, submissions, and brand loyalty. The results included more than 2,000 Behind the Paper posts annually, a 95% satisfaction rate, 60% of authors saying they were more likely to submit again to Springer Nature, 2.8 million pageviews per year from Behind the Paper, and over 140,000 clicks from communities to nature.com each year.
