E-Procurement Company Saves Big with Disaster Recovery as a Service

Think Procurement, a leader in e-procurement SaaS, needed an out-of-cloud copy of critical data to meet Australian privacy commitments and provide robust disaster recovery while keeping most of its platform in AWS. To solve that challenge, Think Procurement engaged RedBear IT and selected Zadara Storage’s Virtual Private Storage Array (VPSA) Storage-as-a-Service to deliver an external, fully-managed DR capability.

Zadara Storage deployed VPSA to provide consumption-based, block storage with multi-region encrypted copies, rapid PoC setup, multi-cloud DR support (including Azure), iSCSI connectivity and low RPO/RTO. The implementation delivered immediate operational simplicity and scalability, relieved Think Procurement of replicated storage management, and saved the company “hundreds of thousands of dollars” versus a traditional DR approach while meeting privacy, security and availability requirements.
