A Zadara Storage Case Study
The City of Yamaga in Kumamoto, Japan faced an aging PC-based client/server environment where 1,000 users were storing critical government data on local PCs, creating security, availability and disaster-recovery risks. After consulting with Computer Dynamics, Yamaga selected Zadara Storage’s enterprise storage-as-a-service, the Virtual Private Storage Array (VPSA), to underpin a new VDI rollout and centralize their data.
Zadara Storage implemented a redundant five-VPSA configuration with mirroring, snapshots, encryption, performance isolation and non-disruptive scaling, moving data off local PCs onto centralized, managed storage. The deployment delivered centrally managed protection for all government data, faster VDI response for 1,000 users, reduced administrative burden and improved business continuity through replication and instant rollback capabilities.
