BASE Media Cloud, a cloud-based media solutions provider, faced the challenge of delivering high-performance, enterprise-grade media storage and global file distribution for MAKE TV’s McLaren Autosport BRDC Award production while keeping costs strictly OpEx. To meet demanding 4K/HD ingest, secure sharing and fast post workflows, BASE turned to Zadara Storage, deploying Zadara’s Virtual Private Storage Array (VPSA) / cloud NAS as the core storage service.

BASE implemented a high-speed global distribution hub built around Zadara Storage’s VPSA (integrated with Signiant Media Shuttle and hosted on Vodafone), enabling 1.5 TB of race footage to be ingested, backed up and shared on demand. The Zadara Storage solution provided 3-way mirrored protection in original file formats, faster downloads even over standard broadband, improved performance, security and data integrity, and a pay-per-use OpEx model that delivered enterprise capability at a fraction of the capital cost.
