Case Study: CyberAgent achieves rapid automated server provisioning and scalable multi-tenant monitoring with Zabbix

Realizing the “sense of speed” demanded by CyberAgent with automation through API link

CyberAgent, a large Tokyo-based Internet services company, needed to speed up delivery of new services by automating server provisioning and monitoring. Their goal was rapid, repeatable setup with auto-discovery and automatic configuration so newly created development and production servers could be monitored immediately without time-consuming manual work.

They linked Zabbix to their Chef-based deployment pipeline using the Zabbix API, templates and discovery to install agents and push monitoring configs automatically. The result is multi-tenant monitoring across 30+ Zabbix servers (handling up to ~20,000 triggers and ~60,000 items per server), second-level checks when needed, integrated alerts (email, chat tools) and JMX support—eliminating manual errors, accelerating rollout, and delivering consistent, scalable monitoring.
