GTD Group is a leading Chilean service provider for internet, TV and telephony — serving roughly 250,000 internet, 160,000 pay-TV and 250,000 telephony customers — that needed a scalable, supported monitoring solution to cover its entire infrastructure. The team required out‑of‑the‑box device monitoring (most devices using SNMP), reliable historical data handling, support for faster DB engines and a powerful API to manage a very large and diverse estate.

GTD chose Zabbix, deploying a single Zabbix server with Elasticsearch to monitor ~120,000 hosts (≈630,000 items, ≈320,000 triggers, NVPS ~4,500). After Zabbix training and tuning, the company gained full network and device visibility, proactive outage detection, rich visualizations (graphs/maps), flexible alerts, improved monitoring performance and stability, and a much lower TCO — a setup that has run successfully since 2010.
