Upload Financial Transactions and Report from SAP Without Ever Leaving Excel

Excel4apps, the customer, wanted a way to streamline financial reporting and transaction handling in SAP without forcing users to leave Excel. Their challenge was to reduce errors, speed up month-end close, and replace static, hard-to-manage reporting and upload processes. To address this, they worked with Z Option’s GLSU for spreadsheet-based SAP uploads and Excel4apps’ GL Wand for Excel-based SAP reporting.

With Z Option’s GLSU, Excel4apps could pre-validate data in Excel, upload journal entries directly into SAP, and automate recurring monthly uploads with fewer errors. Using Excel4apps’ GL Wand, they then reported on posted results in real time from SAP, with drill-down capability and secure access from Excel. The combined approach improved productivity, accelerated reconciliation and month-end processing, and helped users save time by eliminating the need to switch between systems.
