Case Study: Doors Open Toronto engages festival audiences with Yulio Technologies VR

A Yulio Technologies Case Study

Doors Open Toronto brings 2039 vision to life with Yulio and over 2,500 VR views

Yulio Technologies partnered with Doors Open Toronto to enhance their annual public festival, which aims to provide access to notable city spaces. The challenge was to bring to life the event's "20 Something" theme, celebrating its past while creating an engaging vision for Toronto's architectural future that was accessible to a wide public audience.

The solution involved Yulio creating a mobile VR experience using 360-degree photography of current sites, which was combined with student architectural renderings of future visions for those locations. Yulio's platform allowed this blended "before and after" experience to be easily shared and viewed on accessible devices like smartphones with Google Cardboard and Oculus Go headsets during the festival. The results were highly successful, with over 2500 views of the projects, constant audience lines, and enthusiastic engagement from visitors of all ages, solidifying VR as a compelling feature for the event.
