Case Study: Del Monte boosts employee wellbeing and engagement with YuLife

A YuLife Case Study

Preview of the Del Monte Case Study

Cultivating a healthier workplace with Del Monte (UK)

Del Monte, a global producer and marketer of high-quality fresh, prepared, and canned foods, wanted a cost-effective way to improve employee wellbeing and engagement across both head office staff and factory workers. Despite having an Employee Assistance Programme in place, engagement was very low, and communication challenges made it hard to reach a workforce split across different roles and languages. Del Monte turned to YuLife and its group life insurance-backed wellbeing app to help address this challenge.

YuLife implemented a comprehensive health and wellbeing programme through its app, encouraging daily habits like walking and mindfulness, plus team challenges, rewards, and a company leaderboard to boost participation. The results included 46% of employees downloading the app, 16,866,667 total steps walked, and 6 employees using their discount to buy a Fitbit or Garmin device. YuLife also saw strong engagement with challenges, especially long walks (37.2%) and meditation (37.1%), showing measurable uptake across the workforce.
