A YugabyteDB Case Study
Turvo, a real-time collaborative logistics platform, was struggling with rapidly growing IoT sensor data from trucks and other assets: their existing document datastore could not scale on demand, deliver low latencies, or tolerate node and zone failures without risking data integrity, and adding shards or changing machine types on AWS required application downtime. To address this, Turvo adopted YugabyteDB, migrating to YugaByte DB Enterprise Edition deployed on AWS across multiple availability zones.
YugabyteDB implemented a distributed, transactional SQL database that allowed Turvo to scale its data infrastructure to match rapid growth, reconfigure machines and rebalance data without application downtime, and reduce its overall database footprint—lowering infrastructure costs while simplifying operations and increasing developer agility.
