Case Study: Manetu achieves global-scale, high-performance secure identity and time-series management with YugabyteDB

A YugabyteDB Case Study

Preview of the Manetu Case Study

Manetu’s data privacy platform manages millions of identities and unlocks new use cases with YugabyteDB

Manetu is a data‑privacy platform that manages millions of encrypted identities and gives consumers control over their personal data. Their microservices architecture needed a Cassandra‑like triplestore model plus fine‑grained transactions and secondary indexes, and their activity log required a time‑series solution able to handle extremely high cardinality—capabilities their prior Cassandra and time‑series solutions couldn’t provide. To meet these requirements Manetu chose YugabyteDB (deployed with Kafka as the primary persistent layer).

YugabyteDB was deployed in 3‑node, multi‑AZ clusters (96 total cores) in Manetu’s AWS VPC and now stores 24.7 billion rows of data, enabling easy elastic scale, transactional semantics, secondary indexes and high‑cardinality time‑series workloads. As a result (per Manetu) the platform is proven at nearly 7 million identities and architected to scale beyond 20 million into billions, with high‑performance reads/writes, rapid onboarding ingest, multi‑region compliance options and simplified operations thanks to YugabyteDB.
