Case Study: Admiral achieves global scale and single-digit millisecond latency with YugabyteDB

A YugabyteDB Case Study

Preview of the Admiral Case Study

Admiral scales globally delivering billions of impressions at single-digit latency

Admiral is the leading Visitor Relationship Management (VRM) platform serving thousands of publishers worldwide that needed a highly scalable, globally available database to support a large, complex dataset and deliver low-latency reads. After finding MongoDB wasn’t flexible or scalable enough and experiencing latency hiccups with CockroachDB, Admiral selected YugabyteDB for its distributed SQL, cloud-native design, and comprehensive geo-distribution capabilities.

YugabyteDB was deployed on Admiral’s Google Cloud VPC with multi-region primary clusters and read replicas across 5 regions and 3 continents (10 nodes), delivering about 7,000 operations per second and average read/write latency around 5 ms. The YugabyteDB solution enabled Admiral to maintain single-digit millisecond global latency, scale efficiently with fewer resources than alternatives, and benefit from responsive vendor support.
