Farrer & Co, the London law firm, needed a stronger business continuity and emergency communication plan after the Holborn fire knocked out power, landlines, mobile signals, and access to their existing disaster recovery documents. The incident exposed how difficult it was to locate staff, communicate quickly, and protect employee safety during a crisis, prompting them to work with YUDU and its Sentinel platform.
YUDU built a mobile-first Sentinel app for Farrer & Co to support crisis messaging, staff check-ins, offline access to continuity documents, and an employee directory. The app lets administrators send mass messages in under 2 minutes via in-app messaging, SMS, and email, while the roll-call system prioritizes unaccounted-for staff; it also improved day-to-day internal communication across the firm.
