The Beaumanoir Group in France secures privileged accounts with the YubiKey

The Beaumanoir Group, a French textile retailer with more than 3,000 stores and 15,000 employees across France and several European countries, needed to reduce rising risk from targeted phishing, malware and vulnerable POS systems. Initial reliance on mobile OTP was impractical for administrators without work phones and lacked the flexibility and high assurance required for remote and cloud‑based privileged access.

Beaumanoir deployed YubiKey hardware (YubiKey 5C NFC and YubiKey 5C Nano) through local reseller Synetis to provide phishing‑resistant MFA via FIDO2/WebAuthn, OTP and smart‑card/PKI support for privileged users and select POS terminals. The keys closed POS security gaps, reduced dependence on mobile authentication, simplified certificate-based VPN and admin access, and delivered strong cost benefits — Forrester estimated a $3.2M NPV and a 203% ROI over three years.
