SociaNOVA provides OGIRYS, a SaaS platform that helps organizations—particularly medical care institutions—share patient files, collaborate across multiple caregivers and maintain oversight. Faced with strict French regulations requiring two-factor authentication for access to medical data (L1111-8) and the operational need to protect sensitive administrative and medical information, SociaNOVA needed a strong, user-friendly authentication solution that would scale across its customer base.

SociaNOVA integrated YubiKey using Yubico’s free open-source libraries and the YubiCloud validation service, chosen for low total cost of ownership and easy developer implementation. The rollout exceeded 1,000 keys, delivered positive user feedback, and generated only a few support requests—mainly user errors—while also enabling secure access to sensitive internal tools.
