KRY is a Swedish telemedicine company serving over a million users with more than 500 employees and 1,000 clinicians accessing its systems. Because KRY handles sensitive EU patient PII and medical data across cloud apps like Google G Suite and Slack, it needed to reduce breach risk and shrink attack surfaces with a fast, scalable identity solution after other options proved hard to integrate.

KRY piloted and then rolled out YubiKey 5 Series hardware keys (FIDO2) across developers, technical staff and other employees, prioritizing users with access to sensitive systems. The deployment was quick, user-friendly, and device-agnostic, immediately lowering the attack surface, preventing account takeovers with strong cryptographic MFA, smoothing VPN rollout, and securing both cloud and on‑premises applications.
