Gojek steps up Google Workspace security (formerly G Suite) with YubiKey

Gojek, Southeast Asia’s leading on-demand super app provider, needed to better secure its Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) environment for more than 5,000 employees without making logins cumbersome. Traditional username-and-password authentication was too vulnerable to phishing and account takeover, so Gojek looked to Yubico and YubiKey for stronger access security.

Yubico implemented YubiKeys for one-touch, hardware-based authentication integrated with Google 2-Step Verification, allowing employees to self-register their keys and secure accounts with physical touch. The result was a major improvement in speed and usability: authentication time dropped by nearly 50% compared with SMS OTP and logins were nearly four times faster than with Google Authenticator.
