Generali Poland delivers innovative cyber insurance solution and reduces risk for organizations with the YubiKey

Generali Poland, part of the global Generali Group, launched its CyberRED cyber insurance product to address a sharp rise in targeted attacks—Poland was the most cyber‑attacked country in 2024—while many organizations still lack formal cyber risk reviews and remain vulnerable to phishing and credential theft. As an insurer, Generali must tie coverage and pricing to clients’ security posture, making strong, phishing‑resistant multi‑factor authentication a baseline requirement for policies.

To close the gap between insurance and prevention, Generali partnered with Yubico and MCX Group to include a starter kit of ten YubiKey 5 NFC security keys with CyberRED policies and offer discounted expansion and deployment support. The program promotes FIDO2 phishing‑resistant MFA across customers, was credited with reducing the probability of certain negative cyber events by up to 50% with just ten keys, and earned industry recognition while enabling premium incentives for stronger security.
