TrueCode Capital, founded by Joshua M. Peck, is a cryptocurrency hedge fund built on machine learning and a risk‑first investment philosophy to serve family offices. Faced with the unique custody and cyber risks of digital assets—private key theft, phishing, SIM‑swap and API vulnerabilities—Peck needed a way to securely store credentials and enforce phishing‑resistant multi‑factor authentication across employees, contractors and investors.
TrueCode deployed YubiKey hardware (YubiKey 5C Nano and 5Ci) with Yubico Authenticator and WebAuthn/FIDO2 for organization‑wide SSO, access control, business continuity and disaster recovery, issuing two keys per employee and including a key in investor welcome packages. The result is layered, phishing‑resistant MFA that preserves access to exchange accounts and investor capital, supports succession plans with backup keys, enables a cloud‑first architecture that reduced costs substantially, and strengthens overall crypto custody and operational resilience.
