Collège de Paris, a group of higher education institutions based in Paris and La Défense, needed to modernize authentication for senior management, privileged users and IT administrators. Their legacy setup required complex passwords changed quarterly, generating frequent help-desk requests and friction for users; the group wanted a single, fast solution that avoided mobile-based authentication and reduced administrative overhead.

They deployed YubiKey 5 NFC with FIDO2 to enable passwordless logins, secure access to SaaS applications (Microsoft 365, CloudFlare, 1Password, etc.) and replace physical access badges. Adoption was strong: users now authenticate with a device-level PIN, phishing-resistant MFA has raised security, IT no longer spends hours on password resets, and the organization can extend the single-tool approach to more services and users.
