Caffè Nero worked with Yoyo to increase customer engagement and sales over the festive period. The challenge was to create a rewarding, low-friction experience for app customers that would encourage more spend during Christmas.
Yoyo launched a first-of-its-kind post-transactional marketing campaign called Christmas Cracker, built into the Caffè Nero app. Each transaction gave customers a digital cracker with the chance to win prizes, with no third-party sites or extra sign-ups required. The campaign delivered strong results, including 50% total sales, 30% unique customers, 13% average spend per customer, and 30% new app registrations.
