Ipsos, the largest international market research company headquartered in Paris, engaged YouScan's social listening platform to enhance its market research projects. Ipsos tasked YouScan with revealing key social media discussion trends in the "Shampoo" category, surfacing major themes around the coronavirus pandemic, and identifying medical thought leaders for potential collaboration.
By leveraging YouScan, Ipsos collected and analyzed large volumes of social data—20M posts to prioritize shampoo trends (coconut oil, dry shampoo, argan oil, sulfate-free), 28M posts to map seven major pandemic themes and roughly 40 subtopics and to produce crisis-communication recommendations, and 1.5M posts to identify and rank thought leaders—delivering automated mention analysis, prioritized topic lists, and actionable influencer recommendations.
