The Association of Otolaryngology Administrators (AOA), which supports ear, nose and throat practice administrators, struggled to grow beyond a stagnant ~1,000-member base and needed a more compelling value proposition to reach a hard-to-access market. To address this, AOA moved its website to YourMembership and implemented YourMembership AMS to enable more flexible membership models and better communication.
Using YourMembership AMS, AOA launched a “Try Before You Buy” free-membership campaign that added nearly 300 new members in six months (about 30% growth). YourMembership’s reporting, communication and membership flexibility drove measurable gains: 26% of trial members converted to paid memberships the following year, 22% attended AOA’s annual conference, 27% purchased from the online store, 13% paid for a webinar, and 35% of trial registrants were from medical practices new to AOA — boosting paid memberships, event registrations, store sales and market exposure.
