World Help is a Christian humanitarian organization serving people in over 70 countries that sought to expand its child sponsorship program by letting donors hand-pick children. The change threatened to dramatically increase correspondence and exposed shortcomings in their legacy systems: recurring gifts required manual setup, online sponsorship was limited (donors could only choose gender/country and couldn’t set up recurring payments online), about 34,000 pieces of annual sponsor–child correspondence were managed manually, and there was no advanced reporting capability. To address this, World Help partnered with YourCause and implemented Orange Leap On Demand (OLOD).

Using Orange Leap On Demand by YourCause, World Help built a donor portal (via OLOD’s APIs) for browsing and selecting children, automated sponsorship status updates and monthly payment processing, generated custom monthly pledge statements, applied donor-profile segmentation with OLOD’s rules engine, and automated reporting and email receipting. The YourCause solution drove measurable impact: sponsorship contributions increased 15% (an additional $2.5 million), overall contributions rose 51%, correspondence was sent 1–2 months faster saving more than 200 hours, over 300,000 gifts have been receipted automatically by OLOD, and 300+ reports are now delivered automatically to departments.
