Utilizing Partnerships to Unite a Widespread Workforce

Synchrony needed a way to engage a widespread, global workforce in coordinated volunteer efforts focused on low‑income working families and to remove barriers for remote, office‑bound, or time‑restricted employees. To meet this challenge they partnered with YourCause, using the YourCause platform and solutions (Year‑Round Volunteering, Payroll Giving, International, Cause Cards, Grants Management) to centralize event signups, communications, and impact goals.

YourCause enabled Synchrony’s Citizenship team to create 118 nonprofit partnerships, streamline volunteer signups and reminders, and track hours and outcomes centrally. The result: during the 2019 Month of Caring Synchrony volunteers directly impacted 264,000 people and volunteer engagement hours rose 35% versus 2018, with YourCause making impact measurement and coordination much easier.
