Levi Strauss & Co.'s Levi Strauss Foundation needed a way to engage a new generation of global employees in corporate causes while still supporting employees’ personal philanthropic interests. To provide a focusing tool that would educate staff about corporate charity partners and simplify participation, Levi Strauss & Co. partnered with YourCause in 2012 to extend its employee giving and volunteer programs and develop an online community voting feature.

YourCause built a digital charity voting program on the employee engagement platform—a dedicated page showcasing five featured nonprofit “pioneers,” real-time voting counters, one-vote-per-employee campaigns, image-centric content, and enhanced reporting—complemented by offline voting booths and nonprofit presentations. The YourCause solution helped raise awareness and drove measurable engagement: 36% participation across 70 worldwide locations in 2013, a 10% increase over the prior year, and established the community vote as the Foundation’s capstone awareness event.
