Dexcom, maker of continuous glucose monitors, faced rapid 60% year-over-year growth that strained its customer service capacity and increased wait times. To acknowledge customers and celebrate its 10-year anniversary, Dexcom partnered with YourCause and used YourCause’s CauseCard program to create the Dexcom 10 Year Anniversary Site — a consumer-facing philanthropic campaign that let customers direct a thank-you donation to diabetes charities.

YourCause implemented a customized CauseCard solution: Dexcom mailed $10 CauseCard codes to recent purchasers and let them choose from ten diabetes nonprofits via the Anniversary Site. The campaign drove measurable impact: $107,370 donated, 10,737 participants (8.38% participation rate), a 98% increase in leads the week after mailing with the highest number of leads two days post-mailing, and positive traction on Instagram and Facebook.
