Case Study: Large Global Broadcasting Company Modernizes Video Collaboration with Yorktel

A Yorktel Case Study

Preview of the Large Global Broadcastng Company Case Study

Guiding Global Broadcastng Company from Disparate Legacy Systems to Next-Gen Video Infrastructure

Yorktel worked with a large global broadcasting company that reaches nearly three billion subscribers across more than 220 countries and territories. The customer had invested heavily in video communications, but legacy, non-standardized technologies made collaboration difficult for end users and support teams. Key challenges included complex scheduling, inconsistent room availability, Lync interoperability issues, disparate legacy endpoints, and limited global AV support.

Yorktel Professional Services completed a full assessment of the company’s video communications environment and recommended a phased roadmap built around the Acano platform, Cisco CUCM integration, Outlook/Exchange scheduling, standardized conference rooms, and WebRTC support. Yorktel also outlined improvements to support models, including global managed services, help desk coverage, and proactive room monitoring. The result was a practical bridge to a more consistent, user-friendly, and interoperable collaboration experience while preserving much of the existing Cisco infrastructure.
