Megabus, the market-leading budget intercity coach operator in the UK and North America, wanted to make its US website booking journey as smooth as its service and better showcase reasons to travel with Megabus. The key challenge was reducing top-of-funnel abandonment and increasing bookings across devices by delivering the right messages at the right moments.
Working with Yieldify, Megabus used a test-and-learn A/B approach—testing USPs, Dynamic Social Proof, urgency messaging and proactive FAQ notifications across funnel stages and devices. The optimized campaigns drove measurable uplifts: +3.2% conversion on mobile (USP messaging), +2.4% upper-funnel uplift (social proof on desktop), +3.5% lower-funnel urgency, +7.5% exit social-proof uplift, and +5.1% from FAQ notifications—helping refine the onsite strategy and boost bookings.
