HealthMarkets Answers Mobile Queries with a Human Touch Via Yext

HealthMarkets is a technology-enabled health insurance marketplace founded in 1984 that connects individuals, families, seniors, and small businesses with local agents across a nationwide network of ~3,000 representatives and 200+ carrier partners. With one-third of site traffic coming from mobile and 89% of searches unbranded (for example “health insurance agent Skokie, IL”), the company needed to drive offline visits to local agents and get accurate, up-to-date agent information to the top of local search results despite high agent mobility and widespread NAP (name, address, phone) inconsistencies.

HealthMarkets implemented the Yext Knowledge Engine to centrally manage and publish agent listings, social pages, and reviews across major publishers while maintaining compliance controls for agent-level Facebook access. Yext cleaned over 627,000 NAP and website errors and put 1,434 agents live on the platform, delivering a 63% lift in local search impressions. Social and engagement metrics also jumped—137% more Facebook page views, 243% more Likes and a 417% increase in check-ins—while Yext’s analytics and service gave HealthMarkets visibility and control over local performance.
