Punch Bowl Social, a national chain of experiential dining and entertainment venues, sought to merge its social atmosphere with a branded, digital dart game using a standard regulation board and steel tip darts. The challenge for vendor Yeti LLC was to utilize computer vision technology to accurately detect where darts landed and then create a functional, intuitive gameplay engine for patrons.

Yeti LLC developed an event-driven Dart Lounge system using Intel RealSense cameras and Open CV for image processing, achieving over 80% accuracy in dart detection. The solution included a tablet and TV display for gameplay and a hidden admin portal for maintenance. Following a successful pilot installation in Denver, the system saw daily use and provided valuable feedback for future improvements.
