Wirral Community NHS Foundation Trust, which provides community health and social care with over 1,800 staff, needed to raise efficiency, improve financial reporting and reduce the meeting burden across multiple sites. After evaluating several BI tools, the Trust chose Yellowfin for its flexible licensing, ease of use, GIS mapping and dashboarding capabilities to support finance and wider operational reporting.

Yellowfin was implemented as a centralised BI portal, linking the Trust’s costing system, data warehouse and live feeds from SystmOne, Datix, staff resource and other systems, and is now used by approximately 150 managers. The Yellowfin solution delivered real-time, mobile-accessible dashboards, standardised service naming, and self-service HR and finance reporting — enabling managers to drill into details without waiting for specialists and substantially reducing the number of meetings required to review performance.
