Prometheus Information, an Australian specialist in health fund analytics, needed to evolve its WIZ OLAP offering as customers demanded faster, more visual, web- and mobile-ready reporting for business users as well as analysts. Rather than build visualisation in-house, Prometheus selected Yellowfin’s reporting and visualisation platform to meet those changing needs.

Yellowfin was embedded into Prometheus’ solution to create Prometheus Business Intelligence for Health Funds, combining Yellowfin’s ad‑hoc reporting and pre-built dashboards with Prometheus’ OLAP engine, data warehouse and ETL. The integrated platform delivers interactive dashboards for profitability, membership, claims and fraud detection, is web- and mobile-enabled, and lets funds report across multiple data sources. The result: improved decision-making and client engagement, with almost half of Australia’s health funds using Prometheus BI solutions and HAMBS deployed in more than 22 of 37 private funds — outcomes Prometheus attributes to Yellowfin’s technology and partnership.
