Westfälische Provinzial, a leading property and casualty insurer serving about 1.8 million customers and part of the Provinzial NordWest Group, needed to replace five different reporting tools with a single web‑based solution for its IT organization of roughly 450 staff. After identifying that Yellowfin’s analytics and data visualisation software (the engine behind BMC’s SmartReport) could access multiple data sources and meet their technical and operational requirements, they selected Yellowfin.

Yellowfin was embedded into existing applications and dashboards (with implementation support from partner Amexus), consolidating numerous reports into a single interface and replacing the five legacy tools. As a result, employees in diverse roles gain direct access to relevant reports, IT problems are resolved more quickly and efficiently, and Westfälische Provinzial achieved a single web‑based reporting solution that streamlined IT service management and reporting for its ~450 users.
