Teoco Delivers Previously Unavailable Insights to the Telecom Industry Using Yellowbrick Data

TEOCO, a long-time provider of analytics, assurance, and optimization solutions for the telecom industry, needed a faster next-generation data warehousing platform after IBM announced the end-of-life of many Netezza appliances they relied on. As mobile data volumes surged, TEOCO needed better performance, easier migration, and support for massive datasets and complex queries. They evaluated several options, including Yellowbrick Data.

TEOCO selected the Yellowbrick Data Warehouse and found it could load data without affecting query performance, handle 30–40 billion records per day, and run about 7,000 BusinessObjects queries 3 to 5 times faster than Netezza with little tuning. By rolling out Yellowbrick Data, TEOCO expects to save up to $5 million in data center costs over the next several years while delivering insights that were previously unavailable.
