Ycd Helps Make the World’s Largest Billboard in Times Square a Reality

Vornado Realty Trust, a leading owner, manager and developer of office and retail assets, wanted a show‑stopping digital presence as part of the Marriott Marquis redevelopment in Times Square. The challenge was to create the world’s largest, highly flexible digital billboard—capable of single-image dominance, multi-advertiser rotations and live event content—so Vornado engaged Diversified Media Group and YCD Multimedia, which supplied its Cnario digital signage software as the playback and content-management solution.

YCD Multimedia, together with Diversified Media Group and Mitsubishi, implemented Cnario to provide fully synchronized, high‑definition and interactive playback across the 8‑story, football‑field‑length display (nearly 24 million LED pixels) spanning 45th to 46th Streets on Broadway. The installation reaches over 300,000 pedestrians daily and generates about $2.5 million in ad revenue every four weeks, delivering the high-impact, flexible DOOH solution Vornado sought.
