New State-Of-the-Art Situation Center for Russia's Central Suburban Passenger Transportation Company Improves Safety and Customer Service for Travelers

The Central Suburban Passenger Transportation Company needed a state-of-the-art situation center to monitor and manage heavy passenger flows, improve safety and deliver real-time schedule, delay and emergency information across Moscow’s rail network. To meet a brief for design, installation and startup under a compressed timeline, the company engaged CROC and vendor YCD Multimedia to provide a digital signage–driven solution.

YCD Multimedia (with CROC) implemented a centralized situation center: 73 displays across 9 railway stations controlled from a single dispatch room with real-time content playback, dynamic schedules, two-way communication, video surveillance, incident logging, analytics and GLONASS-based train tracking. The system was completed on the shortened four-month schedule in time for the 2018 World Football Championships, improved passenger information and safety, reduced fare evasion via station camera monitoring, and delivered measurable scale (73 screens, 9 stations) and operational reporting and analysis capabilities.
