Ajax Metal Forming Solutions, an award-winning metal stamper and fabricator, sought to automate a manual welding process to improve efficiency and reduce costs for their customers. They engaged Yaskawa Motoman, through systems integrator Mechatronic Solutions, to find a robotic welding solution that offered streamlined setup, safety compliance, and flexibility.

Yaskawa Motoman implemented a pre-assembled ArcWorld LC dual-workstation workcell with an AR1440 robot. The solution dramatically reduced cycle times, minimized scrap, and produced consistently high-quality welds. The results for Ajax included a substantial increase in productivity, the ability to reassign skilled welders to other tasks, and the new capacity to take on additional welding projects without disrupting existing customer service.
