A Yardview Case Study

Preview of the Williams-Sonoma Case Study

Williams-Sonoma - Customer Case Study

Williams-Sonoma, a large retail network with distribution centers across the United States, needed better visibility and control as containers arrived at California ports and moved to DCs nationwide. They required port arrival notifications, network-wide insight into trailer contents, coordinated tracking of yard hostlers, geographically restricted user access with selective permissions, and a reduction in yard costs. Yardview’s Yard Management Software was engaged to address these challenges.

Yardview implemented a phased but rapid rollout across all 10 operations, deploying a Move Request system and enterprise KPIs to unify visibility and operational controls. The solution enabled coordinated hostler tracking, regional access controls, and performance measurement; in the first year Williams-Sonoma saved over $500,000 in yard costs, with continued annual savings approaching a decade.
