A YardStick Case Study
The Canadian Organization of Paramedic Regulators (COPR) needed to develop and implement the first national entry-to-practice examinations for paramedics in Canada to ensure licensed professionals were competent. They selected Meazure Learning (formerly Yardstick) for its expertise in exam design and psychometrics to meet this challenge.
Meazure Learning successfully launched the examinations in 2012 and has continuously evolved the program, introducing innovative methods like automated item generation and scaled scoring. As a result, COPR's nationally administered exam, taken by about 900 candidates annually, is psychometrically defensible and provides clear diagnostic reporting, helping to protect the public by ensuring paramedics are qualified.
