Seattle Housing Authority - Customer Case Study

Seattle Housing Authority (SHA) manages roughly 8,000 units and 10,000 vouchers, providing subsidized rental housing and resident support services in Seattle. Although SHA had deployed Yardi Inspection, the initial rollout didn’t change staff workflows and inspectors spent about half their time on non-value tasks (travel, manual forms and data entry), so the agency wasn’t realizing the software’s full potential.

SHA rolled out the full Yardi Inspection and Yardi Inspection Mobile functionality integrated with the central Yardi Voyager platform so inspectors could complete inspections and create work orders in the field while automating routing, cost capture, scheduling, notices and re-inspections. The changes doubled the number of units inspected annually without adding staff, saved more than 950 staff hours per year (including 188 hours from eliminating return-to-office work), and improved maintenance tracking and resident outcomes.
